Restaurant closes too early, tried to go for dinner at 9.40pm and was told we were too late.
Stayed in Club room. Very poor compared to competitors. Also club lounge very disappointing.
The hotel location is great with great views of the surrounding area and close to the Albert Dock area. The staff at the hotel were terrific, warm, generous and very caring to our needs and wishes. Ample car parking facilities. Room was very clean and spacious but did not have a safe.
The staff could not have been more helpful or pleasant.
Small niggles - nowhere to hang coats in the room, or towels in the bathroom. Smell of cooking when we arrived in the room. Public areas a bit barn-like - open and draughty.
Nothing apart from the staff was helpful when we met them at reception.
It was the worst experience of a hotel in terms of the hotel facilities/location/view. The room was tiny, and as promised river view there was no such "River view". River is about half a mile away and huge buildings are in front of the window which block the view and you can hardly see river from a corner of the window. Too expensive for what this hotel offers. My local council's swimming pool, sauna and steam facilities are much better than this "supposed to be a 4*" hotel. Corridors are dark and narrow. I don't have anything good to write about this hotel. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone especially for this much price. I might consider it if it was a £40 a night. Instead I paid £120 for an experience like this.

Well all I can really say is Nick from the hotel bar was lovely and Mick the night Manager was brilliant... The location of the hotel was okay however would recommend getting taxi's into the city center as there is soo much to see, shop and drink...
Well where do I start? First impression of the hotel was okay..but was all down hill from there... We booked a family room as we were travelling in a group of 3, we paid an additional supplement of £50 for absolutely nothing considering breakfast is approx £5 per head...I had to ring down to reception twice just to get extra towels and a bath robe for the 3rd guest. The television signal was terrible and the remote control was broken which again i had to ring down to reception for an engineer! The following morning i woke up to bill which had been put under my door...a bill may i add was paid by my debit card at the bar on the evening when the drinks were ordered. I rang down to reception to explain that this must be an error and could i have a new receipt showing that i did not have an outstanding balance...however the manager Brian was so unhelpful and rude i was shocked. I was then advised the money would be debited from my account as the payment had not been taken, Brian carried on to tell me he had seen a receipt showing the payment declined...the manager continued to accuse me of not paying, I rang the bank obtained a authorization code which still was not enough to prove my payment. upon check-out i had located my receipt from the payment and finally after 3 hours the outstanding balance was finally removed, however no apology for being wrongly accused or for the way i was spoke to in reception was ever made. This experience ruined my whole weekend...very disappointing customer service from a hotel with some fab reviews.

staff ignorrant , food in restraunt was terrible and not value for money , my partner and daughter had burger and didn't feel well next day . i have never tasted veal like that before . room service was terrible order taken before arrival never arrived . Breakfast was even worse , no bacon available , egg was under cooked and everything was lukewarm . Our room was not what we asked for , so in the hole very very dissappointed in the way they conduct business , ruined our weekend .
very friendly staff comfortable bedroom looking out over the river. easy access to all main roads breakfasts were excellent (although it did a long time to get an omeletteat breakfast)

Stephanie in the restaurant for my evening meal was a joy. She chatted with all the guests and made sure I had enjoyed my food. Stephanie obviously enjoys her work and is an example to the other staff - tall chap who was a bit glum !!
I stayed at the hotel the week before and recommended it to another companies employees ( we were working in the Liver building). I checked in this time and asked for a quiet room, I was locatated above the ballroom where a wedding was on and as the weather was very hot the doors were open the noise kept me awake to the early hours. I was told there was another wedding on that night so asked to be moved. I was first given a key for room 315 , this did not work, I went back down and was told It should have been 311, Went back up and 311 key did not work, went down and returned with the receptionist - 1 key worked the other didnt, My clothes had not been moved to the new room , not a good experience.
The walls were rather thin and events in next room could be clearly heard!
Quality of breakfast was excellent as were front of house team.
The staff were unhelpful, no information about the hotels facilities were given or even what time breakfast was. The hotel itself was very tired, uncomfortable beds and very overpriced.
